f(x) (Korean: ì—í”„ì—‘ìŠ¤; pronounced /ËŒÉ›f ËˆÉ›ks/) is a South Korean girl group formed by SM Entertainment in 2009. The name is a play on the mathematical notation for function, with "f" signifying "flower" and "x" representing the female's double X chromosome. The quintet consists of Victoria, Amber, Luna, Sulli, and Krystal.

Dubbed as the Asia Pop Dance Group, f(x) made their official debut in September 2009 with single LA chA TA, followed by digital single Chocolate Love in October and first EP Chu~â™¡ in November. The girls released their first mini album NU ABO in May 2010 and starred in their very own variety show f(x) Koala in October.
f(x) also became popular product endorsers, featuring for Calvin Klein jeans, Ottogi food, and Cyon phones etc. (no longer contracted to some though).
